Objectives 

Based on the first edition of “AniFestROZAFA 2010” Festival, and on the shortcomings and successes that were achieved, the organizers have decided to make the second edition of the event - which will be held on September 12-18, 2011 - more accessible, more readable, more accountable, and aiming at:                                                                                 

Maintaining the achievements and successes, improving the realization of objectives, preserving the confidence gained by the local and central government in order for the “AniFestROZAFA” Event to become an annual tradition for the city of Shkodra and be treated as equal to more experienced festivals of the region, such as: the festival of Belgrade, Zagreb, Ljubljana, Bucharest, Athens, etc.                                                              

Enabling children full participation in the cultural and artistic life of the city, and encouraging the guarantee of adequate and equal opportunities for leisure time, as well as for cultural, artistic, entertainment, and relaxing activities through the realization of animated films.

Fulfilling one of the most important objectives of the Children’s Rights Convention, which also includes other rights such as the right to get education, entertainment, cultural, artistic and sports activities for children, as well as the right of vulnerable groups to have access to cultural activities.

Providing participation in activities based on the skills of the children, those at a younger age and the youngsters, as well as the unemployed people. Our society should make sure to create for children an appropriate social environment of healthy upbringing and education in order to guarantee better future for them. 

Guaranteeing professional preparation for children who like to deal with animated films, based on a contemporary methodology, where the films and the creators will consider our festival of animated film by children and for children as their final destination.

Presenting the professional confrontation of latest tendencies and trends in European and world cinematography, on the one hand; and presenting the Albanian cinematography represented by creations of Albanian and foreign authors, on the other hand.                                                                                                               

Presenting the cultural integration with the countries of the region, introducing their problems and concerns portrayed and materialized in the respective creations.                                                                    

Stimulating cultural exchange between professionals and children of our country and those of foreign countries, thus breaking the existing cultural isolation created by the impossibility of free movement. Now we are all aware of the fact that the success of productions and co-productions achieved by Albanian producers has significantly increased the artistic quality of our cinema.       

Enabling the introduction and presentation of the Albanian animated film for children realized during the 35 years of its existence, and its confrontation with the European cinematography and beyond. This was evident during the first edition, where some of the distributors or the organizers of other homologue festivals have made offers for organizing special screenings in their festivals.

Introducing and presenting to Albanian film-makers the European and world cinematography in the genre of animated film, contemporary concepts and means of expression.                                                 

Establishing contacts between institutions, animated film schools, film studios, productions, film critics, and creators of animated films. In addition, the event will enable the introduction of Balkan, European and world cinematography in the genre of the animated film, new contemporary artistic concepts in the visual art and the impact that this art has had on the evolution of the animated film, which has remained isolated from the confrontation with developments in this field due to historical circumstances. This event can also serve as a bridge for creating links between well-known artists, as well as students, and representatives from different contemporary cinematographic schools from all over the world.                                                                                                                    

Managing to highlight the artistic devotion of Albanian artists in years for the realization of animated films and present the artistic values of Albanian animated films in events organized in Europe and the world. Thus, the barrier of isolation will be removed once and for all.                                                                

Organizing retrospectives of some of the figures of Albanian animated films, such as Vlash Dobroniku , Bujar Kapexhiu, Boris Ikonomi, Esperanca Konomi, etc., who have starred as artists of Albanian animation with their experience in years.   

Organizing retrospectives of animated films, as well as meetings, discussions with some of the remarkable figures of animated film in Europe and the world. Their long artistic experience brings about new artistic and technological concepts, helping the young generation to get to know with the artistic reality of the film.   

Stimulating the activity of Albanian creators towards animated films for children and, what is more important, luring and educating children and youngsters towards the cinematographic art, mainly the genre of animated films.       

Educating the new generation about the ethics and the aesthetic of the artistic beauty.

Consolidating an annual event that will include animated short films and, in perspective, animated feature-length films, based on a close collaboration and a real exchange of experience, aimed at: improving the initiatives through international networks or mechanisms which have the same orientation.

Enriching the artistic life of other Albanian cities, which are out of the competition of the metropolis, and raising public awareness through other artistic means, emphasizing the educative character of this event for the new generation and the children.
