Competition Rules 2012

a. Films that violate human rights, especially children’s rights defined by the Convention of Human Right and the Convention of Children’s Rights, will not be accepted.

b. Films realized in: print 35 mm and in the electronic format will be accepted

c. Competing films will be screened in the 35 mm format, or in DVD format.

d. The film must be completed after January 1^st 2010.

e. The films can compete only in the categories specified in the regulation.

f.  There is no limit on the sphere of technology used in the realization of animated films in the festival.

a. The applicant can apply for a maximum of five films.

b. The film length must not be longer than 30 min.

c. The copy of the film for selection must be sent in DVD format.

d. The formats sent for selection will not be returned to the applicant, but they are stored in the festival archive.                                         

e. If the film has been selected for competition, it must be sent in 35 mm or DVD format in accordance with the festival regulation.

a. There are no limitations in sending films for competition for applicants from animation schools.

b. The copies of films for selection must be sent in DVD format.

c. Films sent for selection can be submitted in a DVD format or in special DVD

d. The formats sent for selection are not returned to the applicant, but they are stored in the festival archive.                                                           

e. If the film has been selected for competition, it must be submitted in a better format for the screening, in accordance with the festival regulation.

a. The main creator of the film must be a child or a group of children,                                                                       

b. Films must be made by children under 16 years old.

a. The electronic application for the registration of films, in accordance with the categories specified in the regulation, February 1^st, 2012 and finishes on June 10^th, 2012.

b. The list of selected films in competition will be published on August 10^th 2012, on the official website of the festival: www.anifestrozafa.com.

c. The copy of the film selected for competition must be sent within September 10^th, 2012.

a. The applicant for "AniFestROZAFA 2012" festival must be authorized to send the film in the festival and the final treatment will be made as provided in these rules.

b. Applicants will fill in the application form in English.

c. Applicants must fill in the form electronically, by carrying out all the electronic procedures.

d. After carrying out all the electronic procedures, the applicant must print the application form.

e. After printing the application form, the applicant must sign it and mail it together with other materials to the office of the Festival organizers not later than July 1^th 2012.

f. The application form is free of charge.

a). A copy of the film in DVD.                                

b). A CV of the director in English.                                             

c). A photo of the film director, (a minimum of 300 dpi of jpg format.) – electronically                                                     

d). Photos of the film, at least three copies (a minimum of 300 dpi of jpg format.)  - electronically                                             

 e). A short synopsis of the film, up to 500 characters in Albanian or English, - electronically                                

f). A dialog list in English - electronically                                                               

a. The film which has been selected by the Commission for competition in “AnifestROZAFA” Festival, should be provided by the authors in a copy of 35 mm, or DVD-PAL format (from now on referred to as the competition copy), with high quality standards.

b. The applicant selected for competition will send the copy to the festival of animated film on his expenses to the official address of the organizers, not later than September 10^th, 2012, in compliance with all the directions of the regulation.                                                                                                                                   

c. The organizers of the festival will return the competition copy ( 35mm) on their expenses, not later than 30 days after the end of the festival, except for cases when it has been agreed otherwise by both parties.

d. In case of loosing or damaging the copy during he film festival, the organizer will be the only person responsible for the expenses related to the production of another copy with the current prices of a laboratory for the production of a standard copy.

a. The official language of the festival is English.

b. If a film contains dialog, comments or audio titles in the pre-selection copy, it must meet at least one of the following conditions:

C*     THE BEST ANIMATED SHORT FILM FOR CHILDREN

D*      THE BEST ANIMATION FOR INDEPENDENT

E*      THE BEST ANIMATION FOR PRODUCTION COMPANIES 

a. The organizers can make individual exceptions to the conditions specified in this regulation, but not favor and provide advantages to every candidate with no reason. Organizers have the right to make changes to the competition rules or to point 9 of the regulation, but they must notify via the website on: www.anifestrozafa.com.

b. These are subject to laws of the Republic of Albania and all contests related to them will be settled by the Albanian courts in accordance with the Albanian Law.

c. Since the moment of submitting the request for participation in AnifestRozafa Festival, the participant must accept the regulation of the International Festival Competition.
